The Combo vs Pairing Your Own
One package does it all on a set timetable. Booking the bath and the boat separately frees up the evening but drops the Basilica tour.

Choosing
Combo or Do It Yourself
GetYourGuide lists one package that combines a thermal bath with a Danube cruise, and it is good value: the Budapest Super Saver at $71 per person on dates we checked in late October 2026. It bundles a full-day ticket to the Lukács bath, a 50-minute English-language tour of St. Stephen’s Basilica at 4pm and a 90-minute night cruise on the historic Gróf Széchenyi ship at 7pm, with a welcome drink. It is rated 4.6 from 138 reviews. Our review →
For comparison, the Lukács day ticket alone was $37 on the same dates, and the Gróf Széchenyi’s own sightseeing cruise starts from about $17 on its listing. The combo adds the guided Basilica tour on top of that for a few dollars more.
What the combo gets right, and where it pinches
The Lukács ticket is valid all day from 7:00, so you can bathe in the morning, and the fixed 4pm and 7pm slots give the day a shape. Reviewers mostly say the three fitted into one day without feeling rushed. The catches are the fixed times and the travel: all three are booked for the same day by default (the operator will move the tour or cruise to another day if you contact them), and transfers between Lukács in Buda, the Basilica in Pest and the pier are not included. One reviewer found 90 minutes on a crowded boat a little long.
It also means Lukács, not Széchenyi. Lukács is the quieter, more local bath; its wellness Finnish sauna and private bath service are currently closed for renovation, and like every big public bath it does not admit under-14s. Read our Lukács tickets page if you have not decided between the two, or Széchenyi vs Lukács.
Building your own: bath ticket plus a separate cruise
If you want a different bath, a different night or a different kind of boat, book them separately. These evening cruises do not have review pages on our site, so the prices below are the “from” figures on each listing, not date-checked:
| Cruise | Length | Boards at | Rating | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Official sightseeing cruise on the Gróf Széchenyi | 1.5 hours | Akadémia 2 pontoon | 4.3 (638 reviews) | about $17 on the listing |
| Parliament panorama cruise with Törley Prosecco | 50 minutes | Batthyány tér Dock 1 | 4.4 (719 reviews) | about $13 on the listing |
| Unlimited Aperol and Prosecco cruise | 75 minutes | Petőfi tér 9 | 4.6 (1,539 reviews) | about $28 on the listing |
| Rooftop seating BYOB cruise | 50 minutes | Várkert Bazár, Buda side | 4.5 (2,293 reviews) | about $12 on the listing |
| Wine and dine cruise | 1.5 hours | Akadémia 2 pontoon | 4.6 (43 reviews) | about $140 on the listing |
The official cruise is the same ship the Super Saver uses, with an audio guide and live music on board. The Prosecco cruise includes one glass and loops back past Parliament, so you see it twice. The Aperol cruise pours unlimited spritz, wine and beer, and its open roof deck is the draw. The BYOB boat guarantees every guest a seat on its roof terrace and lets you bring your own drinks and snacks. The wine and dine cruise is a proper evening out: five Hungarian wines paired with five tasting plates and the Rajkó folk ensemble playing, for over-18s only.
Timing: bath in the afternoon, cruise after dark
Most baths close at 19:00 or 20:00, which leaves time to dry off, eat and walk to a pier before the late sailings. Ticket sales stop an hour before closing and the pools are cleared 20 minutes before it, so plan your exit, not your arrival.
A few pairings that work:
- Rudas, then the BYOB cruise. Rudas sits at the Buda end of Elisabeth Bridge, and the BYOB boat boards on the same bank at Várkert Bazár, between the Chain Bridge and Elisabeth Bridge. Its 20:50 and 21:50 sailings are timed for the fully lit skyline. See our Rudas tickets page.
- Széchenyi, then any Pest-side cruise. Széchenyi is in City Park, away from the river, so allow for the metro ride. It is open to 20:00 most days and to 22:00 on Fridays.
- Flip it on a late night. Széchenyi on Friday, Lukács on Tuesday and Rudas on Monday stay open to 22:00, so you can take an early evening cruise and soak afterwards. Rudas also runs night bathing on Fridays and Saturdays from 22:00 to 3:00, sold online only. More in Budapest thermal baths at night.
Who should book which
Book the Super Saver if it is your first visit, you are happy with Lukács, and you like having the day planned. At $71 it costs only a little more than a Lukács ticket and a cruise bought separately, and the Basilica tour comes with it.
Build your own if you have your heart set on Széchenyi or Rudas, want drinks or dinner on the boat, or are traveling with anyone under 14: most of the cruises take children (the wine and dine cruise is 18+), but the big historic baths do not, and Palatinus is the bath to pair with a family cruise.

What Guests Say About the Super Saver
Ratings and review counts are the ticket sellers' live figures on GetYourGuide and may shift slightly day to day.
"Me and my guests all enjoyed the 3 activities we did. We thought they might have been a bit too much for one day but we had enough time in between each one so as not to make the day rushed or overbearing 😃"
"Excellent price, great spa with minimal fuss, fantastic guided tour, Timea is a knowledgeable and friendly young woman, and the Danube cruise was amazing."
"I absolutely loved the experience... The price was great for all three activities. The cruise is amazing, and the hot springs are fantastic, since they have flexible hours so you can go at any time of the day on the day of your reservation. I highly recommend it."
"Excellent activity; very comprehensive. I highly recommend it. Great value for money. If you don't want to go with your guide, you can go on your own, which allows you to better manage your time."
"The Spa was good and flexible to enter anytime with the voucher. My plan did not align with schedule, they were courteous to respond and make adjustments. Barbara was a sweet guide and gave a good overview of the Basilica. Very informative The cruise trip was okay. The cruise itself was good but crowded. Also it’s for 90 minutes and you get bored eventually. Although there’s live music on the boat, but doesn’t help much"
"At first I was quite skeptical, because you can't read much about it anywhere and the information about some of the meetings is so vague. After conquering the first event - Lázně, we started to appreciate the magic of Hungary. The Basilica Tour was incredible for us, the guide Veronika was a very skilled lady who willingly answered all our questions in English. The boat trip was also a nice experience, but it would be good to mention that yes, the time is 7:00 PM for the boat to depart, but boarding is already half an hour in advance and they won't let you in at 7:00 AM. Summary: next time we will use other experiences offered."

"Wonderful! Well-organized activities, each one better than the last, for a bargain price. Our guide for the basilica, Barbara, was fantastic!"
"This 3-activity ticket – Lukács Bath, the Basilica, and the Danube – was perfect. The guide at the basilica was very good, but spoke a bit quickly. The tour offered a lot of interesting explanations."

Spa and Cruise FAQ
Short answers about the combo ticket and pairing a bath with a cruise.
GetYourGuide lists one: the Super Saver, with a full-day Lukács ticket, a 4pm Basilica tour and a 90-minute night cruise at 7pm. It was $71 per person on dates we checked in late October 2026.
All three are booked for the same day by default. The operator says to contact them if you want the tour or the cruise on a different day. The Lukács ticket itself is valid only on the booked date.
A 90-minute night cruise on the Gróf Széchenyi, a historic Danube ship, departing at 7pm with a welcome drink. Transfers between the bath, the Basilica and the pier are not included.
Yes, by booking them separately. A weekday Széchenyi ticket was $52 on the dates we checked, and Széchenyi stays open to 22:00 on Fridays, so you can cruise in the early evening and soak afterwards.
Bathe in the afternoon and board after dark, when the bridges, Parliament and Buda Castle are lit. Ticket sales stop an hour before each bath closes, so plan your exit around that. Our guide to the baths at night lists the late openings.
No. Lukács does not admit under-14s, and the Super Saver listing says the same. For a family day, pair a cruise with Palatinus on Margaret Island, which sells child and family tickets.
