For a quiet soak after dark, book Rudas night bathing on a Friday or Saturday: 22:00 to 03:00, 15,000 HUF, sold online on the bath’s own site only. For a party, the Sparty ticket gets you into Széchenyi’s outdoor pools on Saturday nights from 21:30 to 02:00, from $82 on dates we checked in late October 2026. On the other nights of the week, at least one public bath stays open until 22:00.

Dollar prices are on dates we checked in late October 2026; HUF prices are the baths’ own 2026 rates. The Rudas hours table was read from the bath’s site and the Turkish bath schedule can change, so confirm on rudasfurdo.hu before you go. Holidays generally follow the weekend schedule at the public baths, which can cancel a late opening.
Two rules apply everywhere on this list: the cash desk closes an hour before closing time, and you must be out of the pools 20 minutes before it. A bath open “until 22:00” gives you water until about 21:40 and last entry at 21:00.
Rudas night bathing, Friday and Saturday
Rudas keeps going well past midnight twice a week. On Friday and Saturday nights it reopens from 22:00 to 03:00 for night bathing. The ticket costs 15,000 HUF, is sold online only on the Rudas website and is not on GetYourGuide, and morning passes are not valid for it.
What you get is a historic bath at a time when most of the city has gone to bed. The Turkish bath has six pools from 16 to 42 °C, the bath suggests about 20 minutes in each, and Rudas also lists a 36 °C panorama pool with a view of the Danube. Under-14s are not admitted, and mobility-impaired guests cannot currently use the bath because the stairlift is out of service.
Rudas sits at the Buda end of Elisabeth Bridge at the foot of Gellért Hill. The operator lists night buses 907 and 973 among its connections, which matters at 3:00 in the morning. For a daytime visit, the Rudas day pass with a 3-course meal was $90 on a weekday with the Turkish bath, and our Rudas tickets page and Rudas men, women and mixed days guide explain the gendered sessions.
Sparty at Széchenyi, Saturday nights
Sparty turns Széchenyi into a pool party with bars. It runs on Saturdays from 21:30 to 02:00, last entry 1:00, and uses only the two outdoor pools; the bath’s daytime services are not available. Its own FAQ says it runs from February to December, so there is no January party, and the December dates had not been published when we checked.
The rules are stricter than at a normal bath visit:
- Over 18 only, with a passport or driving licence.
- Swimsuit and slippers are compulsory; slippers can be bought at check-in. Bring a towel, which is not included.
- No outside food or drink, no glass, no nudity.
- At the bars you pay with a SpartyPay card, not a bank card. The first top-up is 20,000 HUF, including a 3,000 HUF card deposit, and drinks come in reusable cups at 700 HUF each.
The Sparty ticket on GetYourGuide was $82 for the Basic ticket with a locker and $112 for Premium with drink coupons on dates we checked. It has a 4.2 rating from 1,819 reviews. It is non-refundable, so book once your Saturday is fixed. Online sales close at 20:00 on the Saturday. Our Sparty tickets page and Sparty review compare the tiers.
Széchenyi on a Friday evening
On every other night Széchenyi closes at 20:00, but on Fridays the bath stays open until 22:00. That is a normal bath evening, not a party: all the pools, saunas and steam rooms, with the facilities open until 21:40 and the cash desk until 21:00. Arrive by 19:30 to get a full two hours.
The Széchenyi day ticket has a Friday evening option that is valid only within the hours shown on the option, alongside the regular day tickets. Friday falls in Széchenyi’s higher weekend price band: officially 14,800 HUF with a locker against 13,200 HUF Monday to Thursday. Our Széchenyi tickets page compares the options, and Széchenyi in winter covers what a cold evening in the outdoor pool is like.
Lukács on Tuesdays, Dandár on Thursdays
Lukács in Buda is open until 22:00 on Tuesdays, with sauna programs at 18:00, 19:00 and 20:00 that evening. The rest of the week it closes at 19:00. The Lukács full-day ticket was $37 on our dates, against an official price of 7,000 HUF Monday to Thursday. The wellness Finnish sauna and the private bath service are currently closed for renovation. See our Lukács tickets page.
Dandár in District IX is open until 22:00 on Thursdays and until 19:00 on other days. The Dandár full-day admission was $25, and the bath has a free guest car park. Both Lukács and Dandár admit no one under 14.
If you want a whole evening planned, the Super Saver package combines a full day at Lukács with a 4pm Basilica tour and a 90-minute night cruise at 7pm, for $71.
Mandala and the day spas
Mandala Day Spa is open every day from 10:00 to 20:00, so it works as an early evening option but not a late one. The Mandala pool experience gives you three hours with four pools, a jacuzzi, a steam cabin and a sauna, from $54 on dates we checked, and it is adults only. Our luxury spas page compares it with the Palm House and the hotel spas.
