About This Experience
This is a full-day entrance ticket to the Lukács bath on the Buda side, with a cabin or a locker depending on availability. The ticket is valid for one day, so you can arrive when you like and stay until closing. Lukács opens 7:00 to 19:00 on Monday and Wednesday to Sunday, and 7:00 to 22:00 on Tuesday. Ticket sales end 1 hour before closing and the pools are cleared 20 minutes before closing. Reviewers mention a wristband system and their own changing cabin that locked for the day, so you can move between pools without carrying valuables.
The listing describes thermal pools with mineral-rich water, a range of saunas and steam rooms, and heated outdoor pools with jets and waterfalls. The outdoor pools sit in a courtyard ringed by yellow buildings, and the bath has a rooftop sun deck. The sauna world opens from 14:00 on weekdays and all day at weekends, with sauna programmes on Tuesday at 18:00, 19:00 and 20:00 and at weekends at 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00. Two things are currently unavailable because of renovation: the wellness Finnish sauna and the private bath service. The bath sells sauna world access as a separate add-on, so ask at entry what your ticket covers.
Reviewers describe Lukács as clean, friendly and less touristy, with more locals than visitors. Several stayed three hours or more and called it good value for the number of pools and saunas. One measured the hottest pool at about 40 °C and the sauna at about 70 °C. Practical tips repeat: bring a swim cap or you cannot use the swimming pools, arrive early to get a lounger, and book a massage at the entrance early in the day because slots go first come, first served. The complaints are that the building is a bit of a maze and that one guest felt the price was high for the size of the thermal pools.
This ticket suits travelers who want a quieter bath than Széchenyi, lane swimmers and anyone who wants a long, unhurried soak. On dates we checked in late October 2026 it cost about $37. The bath’s own 2026 adult price is 7,000 HUF Monday to Thursday and 8,000 HUF Friday to Sunday, so the ticket mostly saves you the queue. The listing shows a 4.0 rating from 351 reviews. Under-14s are not admitted and the listing marks it unsuitable for pregnant women. The bath’s wheelchair lifts are currently out of service.
If you want a grand outdoor pool scene and are happy to share it with crowds, Széchenyi is the alternative. If a quiet bath with good swimming matters more, this ticket fits. Tuesday is the day to go if you want an evening soak, with the bath open to 22:00 and sauna programmes on the hour from 18:00. At weekends the sauna world is open all day, which suits a long afternoon. Bring a swim cap, a towel and slippers, since the ticket covers entry and a cabin or locker only. Our Lukács tickets page compares this ticket with the beer spa and the combo offers at the same bath.

What Travelers Say

I enjoyed my time at the spa! Everyone was friendly
— Asia, October 4, 2026
Hottest pool was 40 C. The sauna was at a good temp of 70 C. The outdoor pool was nice. Generally clean. There was a rooftop tanning area that was lovely. Do I think it should have been cheaper, yes! (Due to the size of the thermal pools).

These thermal baths were very good value for money. We easily spent 3 hours there and probably could have stayed longer if we didn’t have somewhere we had to be after. There’s a large variety of pools and saunas included in the price. If you want to swim remember a swim cap or they won’t let you in those pools.

Do I need a swim cap at Lukács?
Yes, for the swimming pools. Several reviewers warn that you will not be let into those pools without one. Slippers are compulsory throughout the bath. Bring both, plus a towel, because the ticket covers entry and a cabin or locker only. See what to bring to the baths.
Is Lukács less crowded than Széchenyi?
