About This Experience

This ticket pairs a full-day spa entry at Rudas with a 3-course meal at Rudas Bistro, the restaurant inside the bath building. You choose between two spa options. The Wellness option covers the wellness area, the pools and the saunas but not the Turkish bath. The full option adds the Turkish bath. When you book, you also pick a table time for the meal, and you can swim before or after it until the bath closes. The meal comes with a coffee, a fruit lemonade, a glass of wine or champagne, depending on the option you select.

Rudas sits at the Buda end of Elisabeth Bridge at the foot of Gellért Hill. The Turkish bath has six pools at 16, 28, 30, 33, 36 and 42 °C under a stone dome, and the bath suggests about 20 minutes in them. The wellness area has pools at 11, 32, 36 and 42 °C, and the operator lists a 36 °C panorama pool with a view of the Danube. There is also a 20.5 m swimming pool at 29 °C. The Turkish bath runs on a gender schedule: men only on Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings to 10:45 and all day Wednesday, women only all day Tuesday, mixed with swimsuits at other times.

Reviewers rate the food highly and often mention a helpful waiter. Several say the three courses left them full and that the bistro views over the river are a good part of the day. The Turkish bath, with its sandstone columns, gets the warmest words, and one guest called it a must-do. The complaints are about space. People describe the panorama pool as crowded or almost always full, call the thermal baths smaller than expected and say the bath was very busy. Go early in the day if you want time in the panorama pool without a queue.

This suits couples and friends who want a slow spa day with lunch or dinner sorted in advance. On dates we checked in late October 2026, the Wellness option with the meal and a coffee cost about $84 on a weekday, the Turkish bath version about $90 on a weekday, and the all-inclusive Turkish bath, wellness and dining option about $146 on a Saturday. The listing shows a 4.2 rating from 1,397 reviews. Under-14s are not admitted, and the operator says mobility-impaired guests currently cannot use the bath because the stairlift is out of service.

If you only want to bathe, a plain Rudas ticket costs less at the desk, and if you want the Turkish bath, check the gender schedule against your dates before you choose an option. The schedule can change, so confirm it on rudasfurdo.hu shortly before your visit. Mixed couples and groups have the widest choice on Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and at weekends. Book a table late enough to soak first, since reviewers say the food is filling and the Turkish pools are best enjoyed before a big meal. Our guide to Rudas men-only, women-only and mixed days sets the days out in one place.

The staff at the Rudas Bar are exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The baths were nice, even though the rooftop jacuzzi was crowded, but we were able to enjoy the rest. Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Wellness option include the Turkish bath?

No. The Wellness option covers the wellness area, the pools, the saunas and the panorama pool, but not the Turkish bath. If you want the domed Turkish pools, book the full option. On dates we checked in late October 2026 it cost about $90 on a weekday with the meal and a coffee, against about $84 for the Wellness option.

Can women and men use the Turkish bath together?

Only at mixed times. The Turkish bath is men only on Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings to 10:45 and all day Wednesday, and women only all day Tuesday. It is mixed with swimsuits on Monday from 11:00 to 22:00, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 to 20:00 and all weekend. See Rudas mixed days and confirm on rudasfurdo.hu.

Do I have to eat at a fixed time?

Yes, you pick a table time when you book. The bath ticket is valid for the full day, so you can swim before or after the meal until closing. Ticket sales end 1 hour before closing and the pools are cleared 20 minutes before closing, so leave enough time after a late table.

Is there a rooftop pool at Rudas?

The operator lists a 36 °C panorama pool with a view of the Danube, and the listing describes it as a rooftop pool. Reviewers say it is popular and often crowded, so go early in the day if you want time in it. The wellness area also has pools at 11, 32, 36 and 42 °C.

Can I bring children?

No. Under-14s are not admitted at Rudas, and the listing repeats this. If you are travelling with children, Palatinus on Margaret Island is the family bath, with a child rate and children’s pools. Our guide to thermal baths with kids compares the options.
