About This Experience
Sparty takes over Széchenyi on Saturday nights from 21:30 to 02:00, with last entry at 1:00. Only the two outdoor pools are used, and the daytime bath services are closed. The basic ticket covers entry and a locker; the Premium option adds drink coupons. You make your own way to the bath, go through security and change in the changing rooms, which one reviewer found roomy. Online sales close at 20:00 on Saturday. The party is for adults 18 and over with photo ID, such as a passport or driving license. The ticket is non-refundable.
The listing puts the water at around 34-38 °C, which keeps the outdoor pools warm on cool nights. Reviewers describe projections across the yellow facade, a DJ, a light and fire show and performers in costume. Drinks work differently from the daytime bath. Bars take only SpartyPay cards, which are topped up with cash, and bank cards are not accepted. The first top-up is 20,000 HUF, including a 3,000 HUF card deposit. Each drink needs a reusable cup bought for 700 HUF, with 350 HUF back on return, up to four cups per card.
Most reviews are enthusiastic about the atmosphere, the music, the lights and the fire show, and several say the organization runs smoothly from security to the changing rooms. The complaints are about money and crowds. Reviewers found the drinks expensive, quoting cocktails at about 6,300 HUF and spirits with juice at about 5,500 HUF, and one noted that two Premium coupons covered only one cocktail. The water reaches shoulder height, which makes dancing hard away from the steps. One woman felt uncomfortable with groups of men hanging around. Another warned against taxis waiting at the exit, which quoted far more than the ride in cost.
On dates we checked in late October 2026 the basic ticket with a locker was about $82 and Premium about $112. The listing shows 4.2 from 1,819 reviews. Sparty suits groups of friends and couples who want a night out in the water with a club atmosphere. It is not for anyone under 18, pregnant women, or anyone after a quiet soak. For a calmer late visit, Széchenyi stays open until 22:00 on Fridays, and Rudas runs night bathing on Fridays and Saturdays.
Plan the end of the night before you go: book a ride-hailing car for the trip home, as one reviewer advised after an inflated taxi quote at the door. Sparty runs February to December according to its own FAQ, so check dates for winter trips. Bring cash for the SpartyPay card, your own towel and flip-flops, and leave glass, food and large bags at the hotel. Our Budapest Sparty tickets page explains the ticket tiers and how to plan the night.

What Travelers Say

Amazing party scene at the hot baths. What an incredible way to enjoy the experience!

The music and lights were fab, the heat off the pool was fantastic too. I thought it was a good set up. You do need cash and most of the cocktails are 6300 and the spirits and juice were around 5500. The 2 vouchers equated to 1 cocktail, we recommend summer breeze. Changing rooms were good too, plenty of space. The fire show was brilliant, it rained a little when we were there and it just looked fantastic against the lights. It had a great vibe too, pretty chilled so it was good. The pool goes up to around your shoulders so felt hard to dance so best stick around the stairs if you wanted to dance.

An incredible evening. It was a dream for me, and I wasn't disappointed. There were a lot of men, though, which was quite off-putting for that reason. They were hanging around.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need cash at Sparty?
Yes. Bars take only SpartyPay cards, and these are topped up with cash; bank cards are not accepted. The first top-up is 20,000 HUF, including a 3,000 HUF card deposit, and each drink needs a 700 HUF reusable cup, refundable at 350 HUF for up to four cups. Reviewers quote cocktails at about 6,300 HUF.
How old do I need to be?
At least 18, and you need photo ID such as a passport or driving license. Under-18s are turned away. The listing also flags it as unsuitable for pregnant women. Staff check ID at the entrance, so bring the original document, and keep your wristband safe, as losing it costs 3,000 HUF.
Is the Premium ticket worth it?
Premium cost about $112 on dates we checked against about $82 for the basic ticket, and adds drink coupons. One reviewer found their two coupons covered one cocktail. Coupons do not include the reusable cup. If you plan to drink a lot anyway, Premium saves a little hassle at the bar.
Can I cancel my Sparty ticket?
No. This ticket is non-refundable on GetYourGuide, unlike most daytime bath tickets on this site. Book once your Saturday plans are settled. Online sales close at 20:00 on the Saturday, and dates near holidays can be busy, so check availability a few days ahead if your trip is short.
Is there a quieter way to see Széchenyi at night?
Széchenyi stays open until 22:00 on Fridays, and Rudas offers night bathing on Fridays and Saturdays from 22:00 to 03:00. Both are calmer than Sparty and suit anyone who wants warm water after dark without a crowd or a DJ. See thermal baths at night for options.
